a bone to pick

Bone marrow gets an undeservedly bad rap.
Yeah, it’s mostly fat.

But it’s the GOOD monounsaturated type, with linoleic acid,
 a potent cancer inhibitor.

It’s also a great source of omega-3 fatty acids that improve brain function.

And it boosts your immune system with a healthy dose of calcium, iron, phosphorus, zinc, selenium, magnesium, manganese and a lot of Vitamin A.

Set the bones on a baking sheet and brush with olive oil, then grind a bit of black pepper.

450 for 15 minutes is perfect.

Scoop it out and spread it on a crunchy toasted peasant bread.

And then dress it with parsley salad and coarse French sea salt.

And cornichon.

couldn't drag me away

I know I've dreamed you a sin and a lie.

I have my freedom,

But I don't have much time.

Faith has been broken,

Tears must be cried.

Let's do some living after we die.

Wild horses couldn't drag me away.

Wild, wild horses we'll ride them some day.

Wild horses couldn't drag me away.

Wild, wild horses we'll ride them some day.

JFK reloaded

I was 12 years old when my favorite president was gunned down
in Dallas, Texas.

Along with 9/11,
it remains the most lasting traumatic event I’ve ever endured.

I can still feel the sorrow that lives inside me.

There is a lot of debate these days about how the internet is coarsening and cheapening every one of us who uses it.

Now there’s an online game about JFK’s assassination.

There’s a prize to emulate Lee Harvey Oswald.

We’re a classy bunch these days.
