Hurricane Sandy brought the house down--literally--but Jamie Jones is no quitter.
Her print business suffered and she’s been fighting for months, but now she’s back with The Shoppe right across Lincoln Avenue from the ClockBar.
Her new shop merges her printing business with her ties to the Bronx art community.
Local artists will be able to print their designs on everything from billboards to T-shirts, then display them on the racks for sale within the store.
Her mission is to boost local artists and businesses, Jones said.
“We need to support each other here in The Bronx,” she said.
“That’s been my goal for a long time.”
Can a ClockTowerTenants t-shirt be far behind?

The creep of control over the network we share continued last week with British Prime Minister David Cameron coercing four major ISPs to a mandatory pornography filter.
This is inevitable on an internet created by the military, administered by our governments and brought to us through the very corporations we are using it to rip off.
Government blocks will spread, taking down "violent material" and "extremist related content" with special attention given to web blocking circumvention tools.
But filtering can be bypassed by anyone using a VPN or proxy, the way children learn how to access Facebook at school.
Government will have no choice but grow heavier handed.
Soon hacker tools will find their way into average, middleclass hands.
And then the prisons will start filling with datacrime.
