Munich, California, circa 1938

“Let There Be Light” is the motto for the University of California at Davis, but there’s been more heat than light on campus this past week.

Student government there has grown so anti-semitic it proposed and passed a resolution that the University divest itself of any ties to companies doing business with Israel.

It was won in a landslide,
the resolution passed 8 to 2.

Unnerved Jewish students tried to leave the building quietly, but Arab activists weren’t finished yet.

They produced Palestinian flags and shouted “Allahu Akbar” (God is greatest) as the Jewish students filed out.

Azka Fayyaz of the student senate boasted on Facebook after the vote that “Hamas and Sharia law have taken over USC Davis.”

The next day, Jewish Fraternity Alpha Epsilon Pi was spray painted with swastikas.
