it's raining

Sometimes when I see New York graffiti,
I try to find out who made it.

Jef Campion was a Yonkers firefighter and the street artist,
“Army of One.”

He was one of the first responders on 9/11,
working there for a month until depression overtook him.

He took his own life back in January, found at the age of 51, unresponsive, by his girlfriend.

There’s a joke making the rounds,
“What’s the difference between 9/11 and a cow?”

The writer probably wasn’t there at ground zero.
