La Dolce Vita

Italian scoot maker Aprilia built few Futura’s but I got my hands on one in London and took it down to the English Channel.

It displaces a liter and weighs only 500 pounds, so it’s a racing bike with a license plate frame.

The V-twin pushes 150mph on a good day.

This was a very good day.

I stopped to browse some antiques...

...and eventually made my way through the English countryside.

On arrival the road ends as abruptly as the earth does, so I took a long walk down the lawn to the cliffs’ edge.

See the bike way up there in the carpark?

That’s France out there on the horizon.

The view looking west leads back into town.

And the white cliffs of Dover are off in the distance.

My hot Italian mistress for one perfect day.
