He scans the site, selects short musical clips and then repeats/edits/overlays them together into insanely great musical compositions all his own.
It’s like an aural, quilted tapestry made from found scraps.
And it works!
“The Mother of all Funk Chords” from 2009 was named one of the “50 Best Inventions” by Time Magazine.
It’s been viewed 1,700,000 times.
Now he’s released his second effort, “Thru You Too”
with this single called “This is how I feel.”
Remember, he found these unrelated clips and patched them all together, but he didn’t write a single note you hear.
It’s beautiful.
If there was ever a case to be made for the Fair Use doctrine in copyright, this is certainly it.
