a piece a tail

Live, cold-tank lobster used to be about $16 a pound.

It’s $9.99 now at the 86th Street Fairway, and an amazing $6.99 at the local WesternBeef.

If you live in Maine you can fetch lobster for about $2.20 a pound.
Why?

A glut of lobster sex, that’s why.

Turns out that climate change and warmer water is a trigger to procreate, and for the last few years the lobster’s have been behaving like every night is happy hour.

It is not all good news. The orgy may soon be over.

Get ’em while they’re wild.
And busy.
