Let us prey

NewYorkPOST

Archbishop Timothy M. Dolan
is at the top of the Catholic Church in New York City.

He has his own coat of arms.

He’s referred to as “His Eminence.”

And he was caught quietly paying pedophilic priests up to $20,000 each to resign after being apprehended.

Time Magazine named Dolan one of the
"100 Most Influential People in the World"

He also asked and received permission from the Vatican
to hide $57 million in a trust fund, better to keep the money from sexual abuse victims.

“I foresee an improved protection of these funds from any legal claim and liability” he said, as reason for hiding the cash.

That was in 2007.

So in 2009 he was rewarded, appointed the tenth Archbishop of New York and moral leader to over 2.5 million Roman Catholics.

Stay classy, Mr. Eminence.

Religion is a business, and a business needs to make money and answer to it's board of directors. It's the peoples mistake if they believe there are morals/ethics attached to that business. You pay for forgiveness and they offer it to you in the form of penance/confession.

  3. That sounds about right. My disappointment is not in the clergy anymore. We know from history that absolute power corrupts absolutely.

But now that we know what is actually going on, the larger part of this is the moral gymnastics brainwashed Catholics put themselves through each week, to justify funding this demonstrably rotten operation.

People need hope, especially in these times. For some people the church brings hope.
For others it's a psychic, either way they pay.

  5. For still others it's a lottery ticket. Until we learn that the NYS Gaming Commission is systematically abusing children and using lotto proceeds to cover it up, the lotto is what Jesus would have done.
