Back on May 20th, ClockTowerTenants celebrated City Council Speaker Christine Quinn's same-sex marriage to her longstanding partner, Kim.
Our excellent Clock Bar (thank you, Charlie and Michael) enjoyed a politico sighting Friday afternoon, when the Speaker and Bronx Borough President Rubén Díaz, Jr. reconnoitered in the corner for a hour of quiet chat.
Perhaps coincidently on the same day, the Supreme’s announced they are finally taking up this issue, created largely because a certain religious group believes they have a right to vote on the equal rights of other US citizens.

Let’s hope sanity reigns and the Supreme Court of the United States recognizes once and for all that “all men are created equal” refers to gays and women, too.
