the royals; it could be fete



The Living Memorial Grove out by the Whitestone Bridge was a 9/11 gift of condolence from His Serene Highness, Prince Albert of Monaco. 



Here’s the story from Thursday, Oct 30, 2003:

The city is on the far skyline.


LaGuardia is right across the water.


They planted a small bunch of trees in memoriam.


It’s nice out here. Secluded. Quiet.


But it's hard to get to without a car.


Didn’t I just give credit to Prince Charles the other day?
