hung out to dry

Pope Francis campaigned on a simple promise, to be sex abuse victims greatest defender.

He flew to Chile to apologize for Rev. Fernando Karadima,
found guilty by a Chilean judge.

ap

Karadima’s victims reported to church authorities as early as 2002 that he would kiss and fondle them in his swank Santiago parish.

The local parishioners wanted his protogé gone, too, a Bishop they say knew of the abuse and saw it personally, but covered it up until the parishioners reported them both.

But Francis was having none of that.

Instead of apologizing to the victims he accused them of slandering the accomplice.

The locals are heartbroken and outraged while Catholics world-wide
still pour cash into the Vatican.
