digital valuation is getting weird


Spotify gives music away free to entice traffic, with a projected ipo of $13billion.


Imagine if the old Virgin tried the same idea back then.


Give the CD’s away free and launch an ipo based on the number of people who came in to get the free music.


That’s what Spotify did while losing more than half-a-billion dollars last year.
