mad $killz

The old Willlis Avenue Bridge opened on August 22, 1901,
 at a cost of $2,444,511.00

The bridge was replaced in 2010.

Using an inflation calculator, we can see the same buying power in 2010
 is roughly 60 million.
So did the new bridge cost about $60 million?

um.

The Federal Department of Transportation replaced the bridge and the ramp onto Bruckner Boulevard at a cost of $612 million.
