Romantik Seehotel Jägerwirt is a luxury lakeside hotel in the Austrian alps.

In Summer it features swimming.

In Winter, naturally skiing.

But last week it featured just fear.

In its third cyberattack this past year, hackers got into the electronic room key system and effectively shutdown new keys until a bitcoin ransom was paid.

“Ransomware” as this is called, has tripled worldwide in the past year.

The hotel intends to renovate shortly.
