right in the palm


When architect César Pelli designed and built the WinterGarden at Brookfield Place, he intended it to house large greenery.


Little did he know his masterpiece would fall to the 9/11 attacks.

But good news!

It’s been rebuilt and reborn, with new trees, luxury retail and a terrific French bistro called Beauborg.


The trees actually do so well under the glass they grow too high and must be replaced now and then.


That happened most recently in August 2013.



You should go. The trees are gorgeous.


So is the rest of the scenery. ;-)
