Apostle St. Matthew had a habit of consulting the angels.

Italian master Caravaggio painted such a consultation in 1602.

That's when Matthew had his famous epiphany.

But a thousand years earlier (!)

Fourth Caliph in Sunni Islam Ali ibn Abi Talib 

had an identical insight, 

with angels also giving him guidance.
