Anecdotal data has been evident that America’s best years are well behind us.

Reading and reading scores are a good indicator of robust education, and the achievement path that lies ahead.

Interactive entertainment is taking over.

Screens are no longer getting in the way of our reading.

Reading is an obstacle to our dependence upon mobile entertainment.

After falling out of the top 10 and then the top 20...

...the United States is now #24 in reading, when measured around the world.
