The famous painted ladies in SanFrancisco are Queen Anne rowhouses, some of the most famous in the world.
Our 1886 ClockTower is Victorian too, but Romanesque and earlier, about 1850 through the 1890’s or so.
The Charles A. Dana Discovery Center on the Harlem Meer was built in homage to the Queen Anne style.
But it’s a handsome fake. It was opened in 1993.
It’s nice though, huh?
Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!
