The guys who run these things earn well over $135 an hour...


...and half again more for overtime, because they shoulder immense responsibility.


They swing unwieldy and insanely heavy loads up over our heads and we hardly even notice until one comes down.



When the extended boom begins to rock under load, bad things can happen.




After leveling, this one will lift 352,700 pounds (you read that right) high over busy city streets.
