yes, you read that right


The Grand Central Apple store opened December 9th, 2011. It overlooks the Main Concourse from the East balcony and has two Genius Bars for free tech support.
In July, the Metropolitan Transportation Authority approved a 10-year lease after APPLE paid chef Charlie Palmer's Metrazur $5 million to exit its lease early. It’s one of the largest at 23,000 square feet, 315 employees and is the fifth Apple store in Manhattan.
New 15-minute “Express Workshops” offer tips and tricks in a streamlined format for customers catching a train.
300 million people have visited Apple retail stores in the past 12 months, that’s more people than visited the four largest Disney themeparks, combined.
There are 361 Apple stores in eleven countries: the US, UK, France, Germany, Spain, Switzerland, Italy, Japan, China, Australia and Canada.
US retail sales per square foot averages about $341 per year. An Apple Store averages $5,626. Yes, you read that right. 
Tiffany & Company does $2,974. Coach? $1,820. And Ralph Lauren struggles in at $904.
The Apple Store in Grand Central is open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Friday, Saturday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
