through the eye of a needle

“I tell you the truth, it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.”
Matthew 19:23-24

  1. We can point fingers, but we each have our own social responsibility. When's the last time you gave $ to end hunger?

  2. This most recent tax season.
It wasn’t a lot, but people do what they can and what their conscience tells them to do, especially when it’s tax deductible. Or wholly tax exempt like the church.

But then again, I don’t sit on a golden throne drenched in luxury and rich tapestry garments pontificating the world must view me as the only proper conduit to God while my priests go to jail for pedophilia, my bishops are complicit in silence and my cardinals are lawfully defrocked for using parishioners Sunday morning offerings attempting to cover it up.

  3. “We judge others by their behavior. We judge ourselves by our intentions.” (I. Percy) Those that have abused should be punished to the full extent no doubt! But there are good men in those positions too and women in the church doing alot. Do you're research and don't make a grand assumption Sunday mornng offerings are going to cover anything up. You sound bitter. Maybe it's for all the good being done in God's name too http://www.catholicworldmission.org/
