According to the NYC Hurricane Evacuation map we live in ZONE B, the yellow area in the south Bronx. That’s more risky than ZONE C but at least we can stay in our homes; ZONE A has already been evacuated. Our ClockTower is indicated by the red dot.
Our immediate proximity to the Harlem River
places us within the storm surge.
That first floor loft with the lovely, tiled cellar room seemed like such a good idea at the time, didn’t it?
