From timesunion.com:
BENNINGTON, Vt. -- A Hoosick Falls man was killed in a car accident Saturday blamed on roads slicked with black ice.
Bennington police said the crash happened at 5 p.m. on Route 7 when a 2000 GMC SUV lost control and rolled over several times in the grass median.
The driver, 21-year-old Lancelee J. Trimm of Hoosick Falls, was killed in the accident, police said.
Trimm's female passenger was out of the vehicle by the time police arrived and was transported to the SouthWestern Vermont Medical Center further care and treatment. No further information was available on her condition.
Police said Trimm was driving northbound on Route 7 and began to slide as the vehicle crossed a bridge. As the SUV was driving onto the median, the vehicle began to roll and came to a stop on its roof.
Police added that when they arrived on scene the road was slippery due to recent snow showers.
The crash is under investigation and police are asking anyone who saw the crash to call them at (802) 442-1030.

  1. LanceLee Trimm was a good guy, only 21 years old, a talented and generous young man with an inventive mind, a love of music and the instruments that make it and with a near-insatiable fetish for vintage theatrical lighting fixtures.

Not uncommon was a text or email arriving here late at night with an ebay link to a collection of beat up television studio lights or old-fashioned theatrical fixtures with a “WHAT DO YOU THINK!?!?!” attached. Always with exclamation points.

It was Lance who provided and installed the gallery lighting for our ClockTowerSalon, and it was my great pleasure to help him. Our sad condolences go out to his family and friends and all ClockTowerTenants who knew him and liked him so much as I did and always will. He will be missed.
