ah well

Fresh Direct, the grocery delivery company, is coming to our neighborhood.

They outgrew their warehouse in Long Island City but New York was able to outbid New Jersey for their business, keeping about 3,000 jobs here.

Taking advantage of $120 million in city tax exemptions, state tax credits and $18 million offered directly in cash, they are now committed to building a new facility right across Bruckner Blvd. in the Harlem River yards.

The bad news is we’ll see a significant increase in trucking day and night right outside our windows. The good news?

Well no.
They still won’t deliver to 10454.

  1. Thanks for the pdf, Javi. It seems inevitable FD will deliver right across Bruckner Blvd to service the neighborhood. Let's wait and see if they alter their business model to accept food stamps so they actually can.
